Local Rules

1. Measurement.

Blue posts / blue fairway plates (150m), red fairway plates (200m) and sprinkler head markings indicate distance to the centre of the green. Red flags indicate the front of the green, white flags indicate the centre of the green and yellow flags indicate the back of the green.

2. Out of Bounds.

Out of Bounds is defined by the outside boundary fence except where overridden by white pegs with black tops.

3. Immovable Obstructions.

Immovable obstructions are as defined in the Rules of Golf. Furthermore, objects marked by blue pegs and/or blue lines, stakes defining water hazards, lateral water hazards or GUR, distance markers, trees under two club lengths high, staked trees, major roadways, formed pathways or garden beds, and course equipment are immovable obstructions.

4. Protective Wire Barriers.

Relief may be taken from a protective wire barrier interfering with the intended line of play using a similar procedure as for interference with stance or area of intended swing (Rule 24-2.b.).

5. Ground Under Repair (GUR).

GUR is marked with white stakes and / or white lines. Fresh wheel tracks deeper than half the diameter of a ball, material piled for removal and holes made by greenkeepers are also GUR.

6. Wrong Putting Green.

For the purposes of Rule 25-3-Wrong Putting Green, the shoulders of the green and/or all ground within five club lengths of the edge of the green are to be treated as if they were part of the putting green , except where the ball lies in a hazard.

7. Water Hazards.

Water Hazards are marked by yellow pegs and/or yellow lines, and lateral water hazards are marked by red pegs and/or red lines.

8. Drop Zone - 14th Hole.

As an additional option to those provided under Rule 26-1, a player whose ball lies in a water hazard or lateral water hazard while playing the 14th Hole may drop a ball in the Drop Zone defined by the Social Players Teeing Ground (white markers) under the penalty of one stroke.

9. Provisional Ball - Water Hazards on 11th and 14th Holes.

When playing the 11th or 14th Holes, a player whose ball may lie in a water hazard (including a lateral water hazard) may play a provisional ball under any of the available water hazard options. If the original ball is in the water hazard, the player may play the original ball as it lies or continue with the provisional ball, but may not proceed under Rule 26-1with regard to original ball.
