Our Philosophy

The philosophy behind the Vikings Group Community Assistance Program is based on the following Objects as stated in the Club's Constitution

  • To foster and encourage the Rugby Union Football Code and Amateur Sport in the Tuggeranong Valley

  • To provide recreation and sporting facilities for Members of the company and the community generally

  • To promote social intercourse and good fellowship among players of, and persons interested in, Rugby Union Football and other Amateur Sports

In addition to this, whilst still remaining heavily focused on the Constitution, the philosophy has been adapted in line with the growth of the club to focus on a broader range of community commitments.

The Vikings Group does not restrict its community assistance to only providing a level of support in line with the legislated 7% requirement by the Gaming Machine Act. We are proud of this commitment to our significant community responsibilities.

In 2006/07, The Vikings Group returned over $2 million to the community - the highest percentage return of net gaming machine revenue of all the large club groups in the ACT.

This is only possible through our members support - thank you for supporting us!
