HAVE FUN but play it safe!

HARM MINIMISATION

Whilst gambling is enjoyed by the majority of people responsibly, The Vikings Group recognises that problem gambling is a serious social issue which impacts not only on the gambler, but also on their family and friends. We believe responsible gaming is about individuals enjoying gaming as a leisure activity without affecting their own wellbeing or that of a family or friends. This includes the encouragement of patrons to spend within their budget. The Group aims to create and maintain an environment where responsible gaming is practiced.

The Vikings Group has developed a responsible service of gaming policy and program, which includes:

  • Staff training in Responsible Service of Gaming
  • The prominent display of problem gambling help services an support material
  • Assistance to patrons who approach staff for help
  • Self-exclusion program for patrons who want to address gambling problems.

Our policies are guided by a mandatory Code of Practice.

The Code of Practice has been developed by the ACT Government to ensure that all ACT Gambling providers meet a minimum set of standards in allowing patrons to access their gambling products.
