TARC was established in 1997 and was formed to meet the needs of riders in the Canberra region 18 years and over who do not wish to specialise in any of the other disciplines provided by existing equestrian groups. TARC aims to improve the riding skills of adult riders, provide opportunities for recreational riding, assist members to increase their knowledge of equestrian issues and participate in horse related social activities. TARC currently has approximately 40 members and its activities include monthly club training days, gymkhanas, one day events, camps, yearly inter club competitions, dressage and show jumping competitions and TREC (orienteering on horseback).

How do I join your Club?
Membership is either full, which is open to 18+ only and includes insurance, access to club days, club- only events and open events or non-riding, which is also only open to 18+.
Cost is $50 for full membership and $10 for non-riding membership.
Applicants to join TARC must sign a waiver issued by Equestrian Australia (the peak body) which releases our club from liability in the event of an accident, agree to follow the instructions of coaches, committee members and event coordinators at all times in accordance with the club Risk Management Plan and agree to only bring horses to club days and events that are healthy and sound.
TARC runs monthly club training days on the third Sunday of the month at Kambah Pony Club grounds, Hake St, Kambah and open events four or five times a year at Equestrian Park, Curtin.
