Dog Training

Tuggeranong Dog Training Club

Tuggeranong Dog Training Club (TDTC) commenced operation in February 1995 to address the need within the Community to provide training for dogs. Training is used not only to train a dog to walk nicely on lead, but also provides instruction to handlers on how their dog may take its place as a member of our community.

TDTC provides a graduated training program, which allows dogs and their owners to progress at their own speed. Levels of training comprise:
Puppies from 3 months; Beginners (dogs with no training); Intermediate, Advanced and Novice. On successful completion of the Advanced class, owners are awarded the “Obedience Trained Dog” Certificate which reduces the cost of ACT Government dog registration.

Other activities conducted by the club include: Agility; Flyball and the Demonstration Team which participates in local fetes to promote the club and our activities.

Training is currently offered on Tuesday from 7.00pm and Sundays from 9.00am and is held on Club grounds at Rowland Rees Crescent, Greenway. Bookings are essential and may be made by calling the Club.
