Tuggeranong Valley Womens Bowling Club

Background

In 1995 a small group of determined, hardworking women decided that Tuggeranong Valley needed a Bowling Club. These ladies started with a loan from the mother club and with a lot of hard work the club steadily grew. Raffles were run and there was no prizes for Social Bowls. The loan was repaid easily. The Tuggeranong Valley Women’s Bowling Club enjoys social and competition, in a fun and friendly environment. The Club organises bowls competitions, raises funds for charity, the latter selected by the incumbent President each year.

Current committee members:

President: Lynne Signor

Vice Presidents: Annette Tye and Carol Zimoch

Treasurer: Roz Waters

The Tuggeranong Valley Women’s Bowling Club is a great club as all members are regarded equal, all have the same opportunities within the club for playing in competitions and being elected to committees at the Annual General Meeting held in July each year. . Each member is encouraged to support the club in whatever way their talents and abilities allow. A personal interest is also taken in each member to support them in difficult times such as illness and bereavement.
