TARC was established in 1997 and was formed to meet the needs of riders in the Canberra region 18 years and over who do not wish to specialise in any of the other disciplines provided by existing equestrian groups. TARC aims to improve the riding skills of adult riders, provide opportunities for recreational riding, assist members to increase their knowledge of equestrian issues and participate in horse related social activities. TARC currently has approximately 79 members and its activities include monthly club training days, gymkhanas, one day events, yearly inter club competitions and dressage and show jumping competitions..
