Tuggeranong Vikings Baseball Club

The Tuggeranong Vikings Baseball Club has been affiliated with the Tuggeranong Rugby Union and Amateur Sports Club since 1978. Our home ground is Viking Park, Amsinck Place, Wanniassa. We provide a summer sport in the Canberra community, we are an inclusive sport for all ages, abilities and skill levels, and there are no insurmountable barriers to the game of baseball.

We offer a highly competitive competition in 1st grade down to a more social game, to our 4th grade players, although still competitive. All junior competitions are mixed and designed to develop players and can be an entry point for any new player no matter what age.

The U7’s is specifically designed with a focus on participation, enjoyment and teaching essential baseball skills. Teams will be involved in finals once they reach the U13’s. Our U9’s use machine-pitch whilst our U11 – U17 will use player pitch.

Once our juniors reach the senior grades they are graded into a team that suits their skill level as well as their desire to play competitively or more social. Our Club currently fields junior teams from U7’s to U17’s, a Women’s team and seniors comprising 1st grade to 4th grade.

Our volunteers are the heart of our Baseball Club, who give their time and offer their skills to ensure it thrives into the future. We cannot run successfully without your support and assistance. Please consider contributing to your team by becoming a Coach, Scorer, Umpire or Manager or to the Club as a Committee member.

Our season runs from October to March. Our Women play on a Friday night, with our Juniors and 4ths on Saturdays and our 1st, 2nd, 3rd grade on a Sunday.

We offer player membership in the Junior, Senior and Women’s competitions. The individual player fees are outlined on our blog, each season. Please follow our social media links for training times and further information.
