Andy, our on-duty Gambling Contact Officer (GCO), is here to provide you with support and guidance.
Ask for Andy is just one of many gambling harm minimisation practices we have in place. Vikings has and always will focus on building a culture of care to ensure our Members and guests feel safe within our clubs.
For many people, gambling is an enjoyable pastime, but for some, it can become quite challenging and affect their wellbeing, relationships and day-to-day life. Reaching out for help early can make a big difference.

Andy is our on duty Gambling Contact Officers (GCO), Andy is here to offer confidential support to anyone who might be feeling impacted by gambling harm, whether that’s you personally, a family member or a friend.
Every Vikings club always has at least one GCO on duty. Our GCOs have completed specialised training to ensure they provide caring, professional and non-judgemental guidance. They understand that asking for help can feel difficult and they’re here to make that first step as easy and comfortable as possible.

When you ask for Andy, one of our GCOs will take you to a private space where you can sit down for a chat over a cup of tea. This is your opportunity to talk openly and confidentially about what’s happening, at your own pace. Andy will listen carefully and help you explore your options for support. If you’d like, they can connect you with professional support services that specialise in gambling harm and wellbeing. You can choose to access these services straight away or keep the information for later when you feel ready.
Andy can also explain our self-exclusion program, which allows you to take a voluntary break from gambling in a supportive and understanding environment.

Andy is available at your local Vikings clubs, anytime you need them. There’s always at least one Gambling Contact Officer on duty, ready to provide confidential support, information and a listening ear. You don’t need an appointment. Simply visit the reception desk or approach any staff member and Ask for Andy.
