A Proud Tradition of Community Contribution

Strengthening our community since 1979

For more than 40 years, the Tuggeranong Valley has been the heart of Vikings, and we are dedicated to supporting and growing our local community by creating opportunities, connection and belonging.

Our purpose is to provide opportunities for sport, recreation, and hospitality for our members and the wider community, while encouraging social interaction and building a sense of community. Our values have shaped the way we engage with the community, fostering participation, development and inclusion.

How we give back

  • Sport: Supporting 50 affiliated sporting clubs and over 8,000 athletes each year through funding, facilities, and development pathways.

  • Education and development: Investing in the future through scholarships, grants, and the Vikings Cadet Program, helping young people build skills and careers.

  • Community support: Contributing over $2 million annually to local programs that strengthen wellbeing and connection.

  • Employment and local impact: Employing over 370 people across the ACT and NSW and supporting local suppliers, trades, and producers.

  • Responsible and sustainable: Leading the way in harm minimisation through Play Within Your Limits and Ask for Andy, and driving sustainability through energy and water initiatives.

Our Community Programs

For more than 36 years, we have been honoured to stand beside the Tuggeranong community, helping local athletes, sports clubs, schools, community associations, not-for-profits, and individuals turn their passion into possibility.

With a vision to inspire and grow community and grassroots sport, our programs are designed to empower people in the Tuggeranong Valley to chase their goals, break new ground, and reach new heights.

Community Assistance Program

The Vikings Community Assistance Program provides financial and in-kind support to eligible individuals, affiliated clubs, schools, charities, community organisations and groups that deliver positive outcomes within the Tuggeranong community.

Vikings Representative Grant

The Vikings Representative Grant helps athletes who are chosen to represent the ACT or Australia in their chosen sport. This Grant is open to athletes from our Affiliated Clubs, and assists with competition-related costs, with a focus on removing financial barriers.

Kids into Sport

Kids into Sport breaks barriers and creates opportunities for young people to play, stay involved in, and thrive in sport. This program removes financial barriers so children aged between 4 and 17 years can access sport for the first time.

Vikings Affiliate Club Grant

This Grant provides annual financial support to affiliated clubs. Funded under the ACT Community Contribution Scheme, recognises the important role clubs play in fostering participation, connection, and community wellbeing.

Affiliate Clubs will be advised when applications are open.

Community Partnership Program

The Vikings Community Partnership Program strengthens our connection with the communities we serve by providing meaningful support to schools, community organisations and not-for-profit groups across the Tuggeranong Valley.
