Kids into Sport
Helping kids play, grow and connect in the Tuggeranong Valley.
We believe sport plays a vital role in creating a sense of belonging and helping children build social connections. We’ve made it our mission to remove barriers, giving every child the chance to step onto the field, court, or stage.
Through a network of more than 40 local schools, sporting clubs, and community organisations, our Kids into Sport program has the capacity to help fund registration fees, uniforms, and safety equipment, to assist kids in getting active, making friends, and growing through participation.

“The Vikings Kids into Sport program is a fantastic initiative giving sporting opportunities to all kids in the Tuggeranong Valley. The program has given kids access to their local sporting clubs and has broken down all barriers that might have stopped kids from engaging in organised after-school sport in the past. Outstanding program!”

About Kids into Sport
Kids into Sport was established to give children in the Tuggeranong Valley the opportunity to participate in sport.
The program provides up to $350 to cover registration fees, uniforms, and safety equipment, with funds paid directly to the child’s chosen sporting club.
Over the past 12 months, our Kids into Sport program has supported more than 40 children to take part in the affiliated sport of their choice.
How it works
Local clubs, schools, and community organisations play a vital role in connecting us with families who would benefit from financial assistance to open pathways to sport for their children.
At Vikings, we are committed to protecting the privacy of families participating in the Kids into Sport program, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and supported. For this reason, applications cannot be accepted directly from families.
To apply for our Kids into Sport program, please reach out to your school welfare officer, sports team, or community group.
