Meet Joseph Leuii - 2025 Recipient of the Peter Webb Memorial Scholarship

The Peter Webb Memorial Scholarship was established by the Tuggeranong Valley Rugby Union and Sports Club in recognition of Peter Webb’s commitment to the young people living, studying, and playing sport in the Tuggeranong Valley.

This scholarship rewards excellence in both sporting and academic achievement and is designed to assist recipients with the cost of furthering their education.

We are excited to announce Joseph Leuii as the 2025 recipient of the Peter Webb Memorial Scholarship. Joseph is a familiar and respected figure at the Vikings Rugby Club, with a rugby journey defined by years of dedication, perseverance, and leadership.

He has been a committed member of the Brumbies development pathways from 2017 to 2024, as well as being involved in the Erindale College sports excellence program for Rugby Union.

In 2023, Joseph was a part of the Vikings Gen Red program, a key transitional pathway supporting players moving from juniors to colts, before stepping into the Vikings Colts squad in 2024. In 2025, he continues his impressive development as the Vikings Colts Captain.

Beyond the rugby field, Joseph has been working at The Woden School, where he discovered and developed a deep passion for teaching. This experience has inspired him to take the next step in his career: beginning a Bachelor of Primary Education at the University of Canberra this year. 

We are proud to support Joseph as he embarks on this exciting new chapter, balancing his passion for sport with his aspirations to make a meaningful difference in the classroom. The Peter Webb Memorial Scholarship will assist him as he builds a future dedicated to education and community impact.
