BACK TO ARCHERY

Capital Field Archers

Capital Field Archers (CFA) is a family-oriented field-archery club serving members from Canberra and the ACT region. The club is affiliated with the Australian Bowhunters Association (ABA), and regular competitions are held with other ABA clubs in the southern NSW region. CFA caters for all ages, levels of expertise, and choice of shooting style, from traditional Longbows and Recurves through to modern Compound Bows.

CFA has several field ranges providing a variety of environments such as trees, hills, gullies and dams to test your skills. Distances vary from 7 through to 55 metres (for adults) depending on the size of the target. Juniors and new starters shoot shorter distances until they become more proficient and are happy to progress. Safety is always a priority, but its not all about the shooting. Situated in the hills south of Tharwa, CFA members enjoy great views and there is a strong social aspect to CFA membership.

There are around 45 active club members.

How do I join your Club?

New starters are free to come and try on ABA and 3D shoots. If you are interested in joining, please feel free to contact the CFA President via email or by phone (contact details below).
