Tuggeranong Chess Club

Chess is a mental sport that can be enjoyed by people of both genders, of all ages and from all walks of life, and the Club’s membership and activities reflect this. The Club is affiliated with the ACT Chess Association (A.C.T.C.A.) and welcomes both serious and social players.

The annual program includes training tournaments for developing players; club championships; junior championships; standard, rapid active, allegro and lightning tournaments; interclub matches; and social games. Programmed activities occur on a weekly basis at 7.15pm each Monday evening, in the downstairs function room at the Tuggeranong Valley Rugby Union and Amateur Sports Club at Erindale.

The club also conducts junior coaching sessions on Saturday mornings (10.00-12.00) at the same venue.

Membership runs from July of one year to June the following year, and costs only $15. Members joining between January and June pay only half the relevant annual membership fee.

Anyone interested in joining the Club is welcome to visit any Club activity.
