As some of you may have noticed, there’s been a fresh face shaking things up at Town Centre Vikings. A familiar figure to many.

We’re thrilled to officially welcome Sarah as the new Venue Manager. After years of dedicated service just up the road at Erindale Vikings, Sarah has brought her trademark warmth and enthusiasm to her new home at Town Centre Vikings.

With over 15 years of experience at Vikings, Sarah knows what makes a venue truly thrive. She began her journey in 2010 as a supervisor at Erindale Vikings, and over the years has developed a deep passion for creating meaningful connections with members and building strong, community-focused teams. Now, she’s ready to bring that same commitment along with a fresh perspective to Town Centre Vikings.

The venue itself is already a standout, with tennis courts and lawn bowls, a cosy private dining space just off the bistro, and generous function rooms downstairs perfect for celebrations of all sizes. Town Centre Vikings is a place that naturally brings people together to catch up, to celebrate, or simply to feel at home. And with Sarah leading the way, Town Centre is set to reach new heights.

For Sarah, the goal isn’t just change, it’s about strengthening what’s already there and finding new ways to make it even better. She’s excited to build on the solid foundations already in place, spotting new opportunities to enhance both the member and staff experience. Her focus is on connection: with her team, with regulars, the broader community, and with key partners who help make Town Centre such a dynamic space.

What excites her most is getting to know members on a deeper level. She thrives on remembering the small details, listening to stories, and creating the kind of atmosphere where people feel genuinely valued. Whether it’s a big event or a quick coffee, every visit is a chance to deliver a warm, personal experience.

And when asked to describe her leadership style as a drink? Sarah answered “An espresso martini. The kind that lifts you up at just the right moment, I focus on keeping energy high, morale strong, and people engaged, especially when things get tough, or the pace picks up. My leadership combines assertiveness with emotional intelligence; I know when to challenge and when to support, motivating my team with clarity and purpose while helping them see what’s possible and stay focused on achieving our goals”
