Joyelle Calisthenics Club Inc.
Joyelle Calisthenics Club was established in 1972 and is based in the Tuggeranong area of Canberra. Joyelle Calisthenics’ aim is to provide a safe and supportive environment for all participants and to give them the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Calisthenics is a unique Australian sport that encourages physical development, co-ordination, teamwork and self-discipline.
A variety of routines choreographed to music are performed in a theatre, in front of an audience and an adjudicator. These routines have influence from modern dance, controlled movement, simplified ballet, marching, gymnastics, singing and apparatus.
Joyelle promotes teamwork and self-discipline, as well as friendship and life skills. Joyelle members have pride in their team and the club as a whole and work together to create a fun environment.
